Gatlinburg SkyTrail

Take a Hike Behind the Record-Setting SkyBridge

Hike the SkyTrail

The Gatlinburg SkyTrail is a scenic walkway providing guests the opportunity to take a leisurely hike in the mountains while enjoying new views of the famous SkyBridge. The SkyTrail is an enjoyable walk for adults, kids, and even dogs, offering three distinct sections.  The SkyTrail is currently open for day and nighttime use, with the exception of the Tulip Tower, which is only accessible during the daytime hours of operation.

The Elevated-Boardwalk is a wooden walkway leading from the SkyDeck back along the hillside of the ravine that cuts under the SkyBridge.  Along the way, interactive signage provides information about the engineering of the SkyBridge, the history of iconic Gatlinburg SkyLift, and the wildfires of 2016 that swept across Crockett Mountain where the SkyTrail stands today.  This elevated walking area is unlike anything else in the Gatlinburg area! Be on the lookout for black bears and other wildlife. Our park attracts bears due to natural food sources for them. Please do not approach bears if you see them on the trail.

The Tulip Tower is a 70' steel tower located off the SkyTrail. Access the tower by walking over one of two rope bridges and features four viewing platforms.  Each level offers interpretive signs about SkyPark flora and fauna. Enjoy unique views of the Smokies and the iconic SkyBridge from the Tulip Tower.  Please note that the Tulip Tower is only open during the daytime.

The Path section of the SkyTrail is is currently CLOSED for maintenance.
